Enter BIOS on a Dell PC?

I had a similar problem on a Dell Lap top. The problem turned out to be a
bad memory stick, if there are two sticks of memory in the machine, try
taking them out and trying them individually. It might be the same problem.
I'm glad you are following through. No one should have to live with a
problem like that.

Good idea, Didn't think of that. I'll try it when I get over there.
When I run a logged boot do you know what the name of the file it
creates is? I searched for Bootlog.txt but couldn't find it.

Thanks,

Well it's been about two weeks since the last blue screen. They had
one blue screen after I disabled the one DVD drive in the BIOS and
none since and they have been using the PC regularly. They have two
DVD drives, one is a DVD burner that I disabled and the other is a
DVD three way. There may have been a conflict between the two. We
now feel the problem has been resolved. They were ready to send the
machine back. I'm a Win98SE user but now know a lot more about XP.
.. :)
I want to thank all who supplied help. NewScience, Mae, Bert Kinney,
Gerry Cornell, Chuck, Gazoo0 and Lester Stiefel.

This thread is kinda old but I hope you see this.

Happy Holidays !!
