Enlarge taskbar icons?

If it's possible to enlarge the icons on the taskbar, can someone explain
how?

Hi Dan,

You did mean about changing the icon size on the *taskbar* did you not? To
the best of my knowledge the answer is no. One may change the size of the
icons in the start menu but I believe that is it.

The icon size can be changed to small or large. Go to View >> Toolbars >>
Customize.

While your suggestion proved correct, the only icons which became larger are
on the left side of the taskbar, and aren't the ones I want to enlarge. It's
the ones on the right side I'd like to enlarge.

YK,

OK, maybe I'm slow but how do you do that on the *Taskbar*, not the tool
bar? When Dan says they get larger but on the left side, and he wants the
right side, is he referring to the Quick Launch tool bar on the taskbar or
what?

Thanks,

Now I'm thoroughly confused Dan. This isn't the first time however. What I
simply would like to know at this point is, are you referring to the
*taskbar* at the bottom of your screen, and specifically the toolbar
contained within it which is called the Quick Launch toolbar? Or, are you
referring to the Toolbar at the Top of the Screen? So which one is it?

Thanks,

I am referring to the taskbar on the bottom of the screen and the icons
which appear on the right side near the clock.

OK Dan, now it's all clear. As Frank and I have said, those are of fixed
dimensions and cannot be changed. For future reference what we have here are
three separate but interrelated items. The Taskbar, customarily at the
bottom of the screen (although some users have it along the side arranged
vertically). Within the Taskbar are two (sometimes more and sometimes less)
components. The System Tray, which contains the clock and icons of
startup/running in background programs, and the Quick Launch "toolbar" which
is either located within the Taskbar proper or sometimes located on the
right side just above the Systray.

A guess would be to try changing the size of Caption buttons
in Display Appearance. (Yup. Just confirmed that.)
Notice that that does more than just what he wants
(e.g. changes size of "Caption" buttons <g>).

Alternatively he could always crank up the magnifer.
Run... magnify

What the heck are Caption buttons?

(Thanks for the information.)

Robert,

I haven't tried that but it sounds reasonable. Except for the fact that if I
recommended it, PCR would get on my case for attempting to "micromanage
items in the appearance tab". <G>

Anyway, thanks for that bit of info.
