Endless error message in iTunes

Whenever I try to do anything in iTunes I get the Windows error message
"WINDOWS - NO DISK. There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into
drive ." with the options to either CANCEL, TRY AGAIN or CONTINUE.

Regardless of which of the options I select, the error message re-appears.
If it does disappear, it reappears as soon as I try to do anything else. It
inevitably gets to the point where I cannot make it disappear, at which stage
CTRL+ALT+DEL politely informs me that iTunes is "not responding".

I have tried:
- Updating iTunes software
- Making sure I have the latest Windows Updates
- Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes
- Selective start-up where I disable all applications which might be
clashing with iTunes

None of them work. Any ideas where the problem is coming from?

Hi Guy,

Your system over run so when you would like to exit you do it in a hurry, you
don't give the System enough time to realse the Memory and other processes to
realse and finsh its job,try giv time before you take the Disk or unplug
anything. It doesn't mean you close or press the X on the right corner it's
done it take time to end it's processes runing on the OS.
Good Luck
