Encryption Question

Jon

If one of my business partners has a Digital ID installed on their
computer and they send me a Signed email, I update my Contact for them and
they send me an encrypted email I can then read it. If I Reply to that
email does it go back encrypted even if I do not have a Digital ID installed
on my own system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated -
Jon

For YOU digitally sign a message, YOU need to get a security certificate.

For THEM to send a digitally signed message, THEY must get a security
certificate.

For YOU to encrypt a message sent to them, THEY must send you *their* public
key from their security certificate. Then you can use their public key to
encrypt your message and they can use their *private* key to decrypt your
message.

For THEM to encrypt a message sent to you, YOU must have sent them your
public key in a digitally signed message. Then they use your public key to
encrypt their message and you use your *private* key to decrypt it.
