Encryption Problem #1

I can only see 3DES when i use my smart card for Outlook encryption. However,
I can see AES256 if i uses soft token that is generated by Microsoft CA.

Does anyone know what are the extra "field"/"extension" required by the cert
in te smart card to enable AES256?

My platform is WinXp SP2 and Outlook 2003 SP3. Thanks!

On a side note, brian mentioned in a separate thread (from mine) the
following:

I also question the encryption algorithm. I would expect to see "3DES"
instead of "AES", but perhaps that's how your certificate was created.

Sorry, something to add on. If i use the soft cert generated by Microsoft CA,

in Vista OS, I am able to select AES for encryption in Outlook 2007
in WinXP, I am NOT able to see AES for encryption in Outlook 2003

If using my smart card, both Vista/WinXp NOT able to see AES.

Does anyone know what are the exact extensions to be included in the smart
card, in order to enable AES in Vista OS? Thanks!
