Hi , to the person reading my question,

I’m using XP Pro, just like to fine out how to remove an
Encryption file in my stand alone system.

Ok What happen was my primary hard disk has crush on me.
And I have re-installed back XP Pro. Before that I have
my profile “My Document” map to a secondary hard disk with
some Encrypted files. After installing I have take
ownership of “My Document” back but I still don’t have the
rights to my encrypted files. I can only see the file name
but not able to open the file.

Error is: I don’t have the rights to the files or folder.
Have done the step below.
1. Use Windows Explorer to browse to the location of
the encrypted file that you want to decrypt.
2. Right-click the encrypted file, and then click
Properties.
3. On the General tab, click Advanced.
4. Click to clear the Encrypt contents to secure data
check box, click OK, and then click OK again.
Access is denied

Don’t ask me about the Ekeys I’m not able to access my
hard disk.

How do you logon as a Admin in a normal boot up? Or U
can’t do it at all.

Thanks
Hawk

If you didn't back up the encryption certificates, you're out of luck.

Hawk;
Are you sure it is not an Ownership issue:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=308421

If the files are encrypted.
If you did not back-up the encryption key or the Recovery Agent and
are not on a domain, the files are as good as gone.
This must be accomplished while you have access to the files.
If you have not already done so, it is now to late.

If you can restore the original profile (not recreate) and know the
password, you may be able to recover the data.
Recreating profiles and passwords is irrelevant.
Contact Microsoft if you can restore the profile.

EFS is very good at what it does and there is no back door.
Read and understand these links before using EFS to keep from
permanently losing your data:
