Enable e-mailed link

When I click on a link within a received e-mail this
message is displayed.
"This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in
effect on this computer. Please contract your systems
administrator."
I am the only user for this (home)computer -
Somehow/somewhere I must of made a change and I cannot
find where and how to allow links to be opened from e-
mails that I receive. Please help, thanks.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
