enable cookies

When trying to download files from an internet sorce,
it tells me cookies are disabled and I must go to the web
browser to enable cookies. How do I enable cookies from
the web browser.

These instructions may vary if you have a version of IE
older than IE6. I seem to recall IE5 doesn't have it this
easy.
On the toolbar at the top, Tools, Internet Options,
Privacy (tab), move the slider down to medium.
If there's no slider, then you need to click the "Default"
button. The slider should appear at medium, then.

If you don't have IE6, I strongly suggest upgrading
because every virus under the sun has IE5.5 and older
hacked to bits. IE6 is safer.
