Empty Window when Opening IE6

For about the last month, when I open an IE6 website from
within an application, like clicking a link from within
an EMail, the IE app will show on the taskbar, but the IE
window itself will never populate; it just shows a copy
of the previous window's contents. It also happens when
I click on a link within a webpage. If I open up the IE
application from the icon on my desktop, it opens fine.
Any ideas?
