Emergency startup disk.

Help! I know this is stupid, but my dog ATE my emergency startup disk. I have
Sp2 installed now, so when I tried to create a new one the computer said the
version on the computer was new than the one on the disk. How can I create a
startup disk without using my original XP disk?

However, a startup disk is useless for most things in WinXP, unless you are
using FAT32 for the file system. In WinXP, you would use the Recovery
Console for emergencies.

Or, alternately if the system was preinstalled and you don't have a regular
