Embeded PowerPoint in Word

Hi,
I posted this question in Word section and I am trying to post it also here...
I have this problem:
I have some .doc document and I want to insert powerpoint slide into it. So
I insert an object, I use inserting from file and I insert some powerpoint.
Until now everything OK. Default layout of this object is In text. When I
want to change it and use some different layout, all automatic shapes become
crashed... The curves are pixelated, text on those shapes looks also
terrible. However when I doubleclick on that slide, and powerpoint jumps in,
everything looks normally, just in word it looks terrible... Any idea how to
fix it?
I am using office 2003 with SP3

I don't have a solution, but I can confirm that I also get unsatisfactory
results when I change the layout of the inserted object. Unless someone comes
up with a better solution, I'd probably decide if I want my Word document to
be primarily printed or electronic. If electronic, which seems to make sense
in your case, as you want people to click on the presentation, I'd use the
Show as Icon option when inserting with instructions to double-click the item
to see the presentation. Then I'd export the first slide as an image in
PowerPoint and insert that into Word. You could control that image's layout
with no problem. Then, it would look good, and people could click the icon to
open the presentation.

Just an ugly workaround.

Hello Ellen

Thank you for your reply.
The document was not intended for me, it was done for a client who wanted it
this way... This is why I can not use your solution.
Everything indicate that this is one of many Office bugs which are there for
ages and probably will be finally fixed with super new Office version 2150...

Hi, if you are still interested I found a "solution"
This is probably Word 2003 (and older) bug

There are few solutions
1) If I insert the presentation and link it to file, then changing the
Layout will not affect the quality. However this is probably not acceptable
for those who don't want to have one extra file...
2) You can insert ppt slide as an object and create the presentation
directly in Word. Then changing the Layout will not affect the quality as
well...
3) Maybe fastest solution... When you have somewhere Word 2007 installed,
change the layout (of the inserted presentation from file) there. It seems
that this bug is fixed Word 2007...
