Embed TrueType fonts in every presentation

Guest

We use a font to create our logo i PowerPoint presentations. Whenever a presentation goes out of the house our logo is not shown, as the receiver of the presentation does not have the logo font installed. We therefore have to choose "Embed TrueType font" when saving the presentation.

We would very much like to make this "default" - that is every time someone saves a presentation, TrueType fonts are automatically embedded

Anyone any ideas how to do this?

If you are using only a few characters from the font to form your logo, you
might want to convert your logo into some vector format image with the
specific font characters. Use the vector image on the slide master. This way
you won't have to ship the entire font file (which may be large) and you
don't have to worry about the receiver not having the font. You might want
to check the font copyrights for using this technique.

Lenet,

I'd seriously consider having your font turned into some kind of 'vector' (wmf/emf/ai/etc) format. That way it's
guaranteed to

- print well
- email and work everytime
- display on screen well (with powerpoint 2002 or 2003)

For older versions of powerpoint I'd recommend having the logo as a "bitmap" as well.

Having the logo as a font is just asking for problems.

It's a global standard that I have no influence on.... so we cannot change the use of our logo font.

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
