Emails stay bold after reading

I have set up a series of subfolders within the Inbox. When I have read the
e-mail it stays bold. I have checked in other, reading pane, only the second
& third box is ticked.

Any Ideas?

In Outlook 2007 go to Tools -> Options -> Other -> Reading Pane and check out
the options listed. hope this helps.

I managed to get that far.
It does not appear to be a reading pane issue as no mater what configuration
I set the reading pane options to it makes no difference. After the e-mail is
read the header in the inbox stays bold
