emails disappear after being deleted from Inbox - where are they?

After opening, reading and then deleting an email from my Inbox, the email
used to go into my Deleted Items folder, but now that folder is virtually
empty. How can I get my deleted emails to reappear into the Deleted Items
folder?

I am having this problem with a few other problems ie - inbox dissappearing,
outlook locking up, about blank emails, etc. What's going on and how can you
report this. I've run at least 6 antivirus, spyware app, malware app, etc.
