Emailing a file as an attachment

I am running windows 2000 and office 2003 (recently loaded) I can bono longer
send a Word file as an attachemnt form within Word. I get a MAPI failure
"unspeicified error" message. It advises me to restart Word and Outlook to
re-establish the connection but it never works. It did when I was running
office 2002. Any help would be apprecieated.

Hi Mark

This is probably an Outlook question, not a Word question. I do know,
however, that you must have the same version of Word and Outlook on a
machine. That is, if you have Outlook 2002 and Word 2003, or vice versa, it
won't work.

I suggest you re-ask your question in one of the Outlook newsgroups.

Thanks, I did post to the outlook group also. I am using the same version,
all 2003. I have the same problem with excel files also so I am sure it is
something with the connection with outlook internal to the office suite but
am not sure what it is. Thanks for the response.
