I have 4 different email accounts dealing with different subjects. I have
tried setting up separate accounts but everything still downloads into one
email - this is of no use to me because I get anywhere from 100 to 400 emails
a day on one subject and only a few on another subject. Is there any way to
set up so they come through separately - like Outlook Express use to - yeah I
have only had Vista one day......

Sounds like the 4 addresses are all aliases for the same mailbox, yes?

Having similar (maybe same) problem. Emails going to Windows mail are also
going to my hotmail address.

Have you tried creating message rules for each subject? Then you could move
them to subfolders (you create) under the one account.

Windows Mail does not have 'Identities' like Outlook Express did.
By default, all email from all accounts goes into the same Inbox.
There are four different ways of changing that:

1. Use separate Windows user logins. That gives total privacy, and is
ideal when two different people use the same computer.

2. Use message rules to filter incoming messages into
separate mail folders.

3. Upgrade to Windows Live Mail which has separate folders for each
account, no rules needed: http://download.live.com/wlmail

4. Purchase an add-on called WMIDs:
