email "suggests" recipients not in my Contacts Folder (Outlook 200

Hello:

When adding a recipient in the TO: field, Outlook 2003 will suggest names
that are not in my Contacts List. I have tracked these names down to emails
that I have received with multiple recipients. Outlook seems to be
remembering the other recipients and is now suggesting them to me as I enter
names in the TO: field.

The list of suggested recipients is getting quite long due to this. Is there
a way to tell Outlook to only look for names alreay in my Contact List. if
so, how would I then clear these non COntact List names from Outlooks memory.

The suggested addys are ones you entered or have previously used, they are
not taken from Contacts, and are contained in a seperate cache file.
Highlight the 'bad' ones with arrow keys, hit Del Btn

No, you can't tell outlook to only use addresses from your contacts. You can
either disable the suggest names features (tools, options, email options) or
delete the bad names as they appear by arrowing to the name and pressing
Del.

The list holds 2000 names and recently used names replace names you haven't
used in a long time so it never truly fills up.
