Email Folders

I am using Outlook 2007 with Vista Home Premium. I use several folders to
store email, in addition to inbox. I have a folder "reference" ,"Church"
"Jokes" and several others. Sometimes the folders are displayed undr
personal folders but at other times, some of the are not visible and I cannot
access them other than to move an email from my inbox to one of these folders
by clicking on "Move to folder" when the entire list is shown. Sometimes, I
can go for several days without all my folders being shown.

Help please - low tech language!

The Navigation Pane along the left side of the main Outlook window has
several views that can be chosen: the Mail view, the Calendar view, the
Contacts view, and so on. With the exception of the Folder List view, only
folders holding that particular item type will show. Thus, if you choose
the Mail view by clicking that button near the bottom of the Navigation
Pane, only folders holding mail items will be displayed. Your Calendar,
Contacts, Tasks, and other non-mail folders won't be visible. Likewise, if
you click the Calendar view button, only folders holding calendar items will
appear in the view. The Folder List view always shows all folders.

Thanks for replying Brian. Perhaps I didn't explain myself clearly. I have
tried the different views. All the folders I use do contain mail items.
They are all emails which have been moved from my inbox. However, in the
mail view, some days all of my mail folders are displayed and on other days,
only some of them are displayed and I have merely exited the programme before
closing down my pc and opened it next time I logged on and I have made no
changes.

BTW., My email is now working fine. Thanks for you advice about that.
