email checker -> keyboard LED?

Trying to find a SIMPLE email checker that'll flash one of my keyboard
LED's when new mail is found - Scroll Lock or whatever. Also, it should
be compatible with Yahoo Mail (web-based), and be able to handle more
than one email account (my other account is a regular POP3).

POPPeeper is a *fantastic* program, but it has a full msg interface & a
buncha add'l stuff that I really don't need - plus it sets my new msgs
to "Read".

thanks for any suggestions or info!

poptray has a plugin to make a keyboard's led flash ; yet, I don't know
whether it supports yahoo mail accounts. Check poptray's website _and_
forum :

I run PopPeeper as well.
And it doesn't mark any messages 'read' untill I actually read
them. (Don't know how; don't know why :)

Thanks for the suggestions, jmatt. Of those, Ease-E-Check is probably
the closest to what I'm looking for: just a simple notification when
new msgs are rcvd, with no actual msg interface.

Unfortunately, it doesn't flash the kybd LED - but I spoke with someone
from DectSoft, and they may add that feature to their next release.
I've offered to beta test it.

best,

Good news/bad
The Ease-E-Check folks were kind enough to send me an Alpha version
with the new "flash Scroll Lock LED" feature - works great.

Unfortunately, they've decided to remove YahooMail support in the next
version. Evidently they don't wanna have to update their code every
time Yahoo makes changes to their Web interface - can't say that I
blame them. They're also removing HotMail support for the same reason.

Oh well - I guess my search goes on for a simple email checker that
supports YahooMail and Scroll Lock flash.

best,
JohnB
