Email address autocompletion getting it wrong

N

Nicolas

I have recently stopped using my school's exchange
server. Unfortunately, when I type in names into the
address bar, the autocompletion is still in the
form, "Lastname, Firstname" that I had before, and the
addresses to not work. When I try to look at the
properties for one of these addresses, I get the
message, "The name or distribution list has been deleted
and is no longer a valid address book entry. The item
could not be found".

I don't want autocomplete putting invalid entries in
my "To:" field, but can find no way of flushing the cache
of these invalid email addresses (of which there must be
over a thousand), or somehow telling Outlook to ignore
them. I've deleted all the address books except the one
that points to my contacts folder, but so far, no joy.

Any ideas?

If you could copy replies to my yahoo email address, I'd
be grateful ([email protected]).

Nicolas.

You must provide at least some information.
Post your Outlook version.
Post the information store you are using if you're no longer using your
school's Exchange Server.
I doubt you are actually talking about autocompletion here. You seem to be
talking about searching the Outlook Address Book. Is that what you mean?
Describe more accurately what you're doing.
