email a fax from outlook using my own modem

I regularly communicate with a group of people of whom one does not have
email. So for that person I have to print out the email and put it on my fax
machine and fax it. Then trash the printout. Assuming I remember to do it. Is
there a way (including a plugin) that Outlook will fax the email from my
desktop - I do not want the expense of using an internet fax service provider.

Why wouldn't you just print the email to your fax printer?

You can also forward an email as a fax. Method depends on your Outlook
version and fax version, both of which you neglected to post.

Hi Russ

Thank you for the replies, much appreciated. I'm using Outlook 2003 SP2,
WinXP.

I'm trying to do this in one operation rather than two operations. If I
subscribe to a third-party fax service provider, I can include the Faxee as
an email address (ie: (e-mail address removed)) in the group email, and the
fax service will then fax on the email. But it seems to me that it should be
possible to have the same facility in Outlook (probably a plugin) which would
use my own existing equipment rather than needing to subscribe to a third
party. I'm perfectly happy to pay for such a plugin.

No plug-in needed. Why don't you just send the same message to both
recipient types? If you have the Fax Transport integrated with Outlook, it
will send fax messages to fax addresses and email to email addresses.

Thankyou! I did look in Outlook Help but I guess I was looking for the wrong
string or something, because this info didn't come to light. I'll go look it
up, thanks for the pointer in the right direction! Much appreciated.
