Eliminate Reading Pane for *all* Folders

J

Jeff V. Pulver

Dear All:

In Outlook 2003 (11.6359.6408 - SP1) I turned on the reading pane (View |
Reading Pane | Right) and for all folders, it was turned on.

I then turned it off (View | Reading Pane | Off). The problem is that only
turns it off for the Folder I am in. How do I enter a single command to
turn the reading panes off for *all* Folders (i.e., reversing the turning on
for all Folders).

Thank you.

:) Sincerely,

Jeff V. Pulver

you need to either do it in view, arrange by, customize, define views or
start outlook with the /nopreview switch.

Dear Ms. Poremsky:

Are you telling me that I turned on this feature with one command, and it
affected all of the folders. And to turn it off, I must enter that command
separately, for each folder (of which there are more than 100) or create a
special Start Up command, which is a workaround?

I am confused. Since I entered a single command and selected "Right" which
turned them on for all folders, why can I not enter the same single command
and select "Off" instead of "Right" and have it affect all of the folders.
That seems like a program bug which should have been fixed by now.

:) Sincerely,
