I have no mind? As in no brain? How can I type if I have no brain? Yet
alone even sit here and read a computer screen.

Your "mind" is like a bowl of day old oatmeal, as you prove daily by
your attempts to try to have the last word and injecting your juveline
comments, combined with your cheesy fanboy act which in general
confirms you're just a loser looking for a audience. But hey, you're
still the newsgroup mascot. I guess that counts for something. ;-)

That was better but still not quit right. A fanboy of what? I like
windows, linux and OSX. So I'm an OS fanboy? You still need to polish it
up a little.

Keep it up though. You're getting better.

it is ok vista is bloated, crap man it had drivers for every piece of
hardware i owned including my printers. it did not require setup cd/dvd's
for any hardware i own. and what the heck, vista runs all my apps faster,
for example ms flight simulator, runs with higher frames, more consistently,
at higher graphics settings than it did on xp and the only change in the
system was xp to vista upgrade.
hey troll, get out of our ng, go play with ubuntu, unix, or linux. leave us
alone

hey dodo have you ever written software? let alone work at the api level of
an os? do you realize how many different types of hardware windows can
handle? there are millions of combinations of hardware and software, takes a
lot of work to get them all to work properly together. perhaps that is the
beauty of the pc platform, it is the only platform in existence with so much
development and options. perhaps that is why it is the most popular. and
windows does a great job considering all the variables involved. yes vista
has issues, but so did xp and so did 98 and so on. they will get sorted out,
no one forced you to buy vista or upgrade. if you are so savvy you should
have waited for the first service pack. you should consider that the
majority of the fault really lies with the hardware vendors, vista was in
development for years before it was available retail, and it was available
to anyone who wanted it beta. hardware vendors have NO EXCUSE for not
releasing drivers for vitsa. and that is one of the big issues with the
problems regarding the vista deployment. i have lost respect for hardware
vendors who did not have drivers when vista was released. microsoft has a
great relationship with vendors and developers. unless you develope software
or hardware you would not know this. go do a little research, and also try
doing a little programming you twit, you might grow up and learn that it is
a lot of work, and eliminating bugs takes YEARS, and nothing can be 100% bug
free. spread some blame on the hardware vendors while you are at it, ask
them why they dont have vista drivers.

ah as soon as the next windows os everyone will say how great vista was and
the trolls will trample the new os like they did with vista. trolls are
trolls, big, ugly, annoying, abusive, etc.
a few go on that list
you know who you are

As usual, another kiddie totally misses the point. Some things never
change.

hey trolls if you hate vista so much, the answer is simple, dont use it.

The lamest of the lame response. Consider the source. Gives new
meaning to GIGO.

You have nothing better to do?

Former captain of the Enterprise said:
Vistaboys claim that its ok that vista is bloated since ram is cheap and
hard drives are big..
there is no problem... Sorry for another RANT.. but you vistaboys earned
it 100%!

Now this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard ... and here is the
proof why:

There are programs that create ramdrives... these are virtual drives that
you can insert in there
any program or file you want and everything in there is loaded 100% in the
ram of course
since it is a ram drive.

Now take a portable program from www.portableapps.com say firefox,
stick it in the ram drive... and run it.

You would expect it to load instantly right? since its all in the ram?
WRONG!

It is faster than loading from the hard drive .. BUT....
Because there is some processing that must take place in order for the
application to load...
and that means CPU cycles.

Not take that portable firefox and bloat it to smithereens with
extensions... keep it still in the ramdrive, and run it..
it will take twice the time therefore twice the CPU power to load!

THIS is so apparent I just don't understand how people can use computers
and not know this. Guys when you do a Hibernation...
that takes everything from the RAM and puts it in the hard disk, then when
you boot again it does the opposite.... IT TAKES TIME AND CPU cycles
to transfer data from disk to ram! YET YOU STUPID FOOLS KEEP SAYING I HAVE
RAM LETS USE IT!

Its not about filling the ram with bloat.. the ram is there for
applications to use it .. for example if you use Photoshop and you load a
500 mb high res image
you need that ram... ok Vista may start unloading its crap to make room
for that.. but still... vista DID load it at some time and DID use cpu to
do that!

Even if you have 4 gigs of ram there is a pipeline that all this
information is transferred in...

the fact that vista has 100 services working in the background doesn't
help either....especially the fiasco of all hidden services the horrid
indexing!

THE ONLY real way to have a fast launch with current technology... is to
make an application LEAN and light.. remove the bloat and design it
intelligently...

things like readyboost, and superfetch are really not solutions... they
are idiotic efforts
to solve problems created from the bad design of the OS itself! And then
they call these
innovative features.. RIGHT! Only for fool vistaboys that eats everything
they are given!

Its like a doctor putting an obese person in a wheelchair and push him
off, and then declare that the problem is solved instead of
helping that person lose weight and regain his health

THAT'S WHY VISTA is the SUV of computers! Its darn stupid, yet because
its flashy people want it!
I dislike the strategy behind vista... its darnright stupid..... I like
high and advanced technology that is intelligently built..
not bloated buggy crap....

THANK YOU!
