Editing a web site in Front Page 2002

Machine is running MS Win XP; Lots of Ram and drive
space. And ISP is by broadband Cable.

A new and sudden condition has occured.
Unable to edit a web site in FP 2002 either in the FP
application or from within the web site. From within FP
the Site fails to load and from the URL FP fails to load
correctly. After many minutes of waiting the error
message: System Exception, Access Violation appears.
Everything is running slowly at this point and the
machine is hard to close. Local web pages respond
normally in the application and the web site responds
normally also.

Another machine on the same network and same ISP has no
problem editing this site using FP.

What is a proposed solution???

Have you tried the usual repairs in the sequence below:
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in your IE Temp folder, C:\WINDOWS\Temp and
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Local Settings\Temp
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file hidden file CMDUI.PRF
Usually in C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\FrontPage\State
4) Run a Repair on IE

5) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, MS Office and your Video card
(Windows Update and Office Update sites, plus your video card supplier site)
6) Open FP and Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins,
7) Open your FP Web/Site and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
