Edit envelope address list in W2000?

How can I replace any of the 15 delivery addresses Word
stores in the drop-down list in the Envelopes and Labels
window under Tools? While the address details can be
edited in the Outlook Address Book, the Envelope drop-down
list, which stores up to 15 delivery addresses when first
used, then seems to not allow any replacement. Is it
possible to remove an address from this Word envelope
delivery address list but still retain it in the Outlook
Address Book, in order to replace it in the Word delivery
address list with another selection from the Outlook
Address Book?

Hi Fil,

This information is stored in the Registry. I'm not sure
about which key; it might be the DATA key.

Anyway, there's no way to actually edit the entries in the
list. If you find the correct key and remove it you can start
again with an empty list, but that's pretty much it. Once the
list hits the maximum number it should start dropping
entries, starting with the one that hasn't been used
recently.

Thanks Cindy. As you said, I expected that "Once the list hits the maximum number it should start dropping entries, starting with the one that hasn't been used recently" but that doesn't happen. Having reached the max of 15 addresses some time ago, I can not do anything with it. I can live without it of course, but it seemed peculiar that it would work this way and limit it value over time, but thanks again for trying

If you haven't already, try asking in an OUTLOOK group. They often have a betteridea where address book stuff is stored / how it's managed.
