eBay Toolbar download and windows update

hello
since downloading the Cumulative Security Update for
Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB832894)i am having
problems downloading MS windows updates and just recently
i tried to download eBay's toolbar, and although it began
to go through the download process, it just said 'done'
and no option to grant the additional java permissions.
Ive made sure the java permissions r ok in IE6, but have
run out of ideas.
Can anybody offer any advice?
