Easy Transfer problems and Windows update error

Has anyone used Easy Transfer, I reinstalled Vista at the weekend and used a
Easy Transfer from a file I had made 2 days before transfer, when I imported
settings I saw that I'd lost quite a few of them. I'd lost my e mails,
contacts and favorites plus some settings. Shame really as the XP file and
setting transfer wizard was spot on every time. Luckily I regularly back up
my system

On windows update there was 4 updates tonight, 2 of them installed OK but
the other 2 will not install and the error code is:- code 8007000b. The 2
updates that won't install are KB929399 and KB932246 anyone else having
problems ??

Marcus, I also can not install the same two updates you mentioned. This is
on a new machine which came with Vista Home Prem. preinstalled.

I rec'd the following error message the first time - 8024AFFF (I also
deleted the folders in C:\ Windows \ Software Distribution \ DataStore which
was advice I rec'd from a previous error message.)

Now I just receive a message that two updates could not be installed (or
something like that). I've jumped throught he hoops several times but
still, no results.

I also posted my problem here ... and no response from anyone. Good luck!

Hello Dave,

Both my updates installed this morning without error when I turned my
computer on, maybe a reboot sorted it
