e-mails disappearing and folders not opening.

I was putting my e-mails into folders when suddenly everything vanished and
the message" windows mail cannot display the folder" appeared. Also Windows
mail stopped sending or receiving. I did a system restore which got mail
working again but didn't find all my lost e-mails. Then as I put a letter
into a folder it did it again. Any ideas as to what is wrong and how I can
find my missing mail?

Which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not fully compatible
with Windows Mail.

Your AVG antivirus was probably installed with its default install option.
If so, uninstall it, then reinstall, but select 'custom' install, which then
allows you to unselect installing its troublesome email scanning module.

While AVG is uninstalled, try Windows Mail again, just to verify that
the culprit has been found.
