e-mailing digital pictures that end up being to big on the other e

When I send dig pics as attachments to e-mails they are too big to see to the
recipient I can't seem to figure out how to make them so they are viewable.
When I send them out on my screen they look fine and are appropriate to view
but when they get there the face is nearly the whole screen, it's kind of
embarrassing as I am not a puter guru....yet. I have Windows XP Pro, isn't
there something I can do to automatically fix the size of my photos I send so
they are more appealing to view?

OK, go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/36n

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures from the menu. You
can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.
(Tip: *Never* overwrite your originals)

BTW...when resizing if you go to...Advanced
Button / Custom...and enter 640 in each field...
that will be a good size for e-mail purposes.

Image Resizing

A. To decrease the size of the file for e-mail, web publishing, etc.

Go to this site and download the free Image Resizer. Exe file in one of your
folder.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Once in your folder, double click on it to install it.

Once installed, you right click on a photo file (or on a group of selected
photo files).

Click on Resize image on the opening menu.

A window will open, select the size you want.

In your case, don't select a size. Click on the Advanced button. Then for
screen size, change the numbers you see to 320 and 240 (or if this is still
too big, try 160 x 120)

New files will be added in your folder, same name as original file but with
the word (small) or (custom) added.

The first time you use it, you may not see Resize image on the opening menu
after you right click on a photo file or if you see it and click on it, it
may not work. If so, do the following:

Click on Run, click on Start and type the following in the textbox:

REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL

and press the Enter key.

Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI.

You should get a message after pressing the Enter key.

Also, you can download a free photo editing software from here to resize
pictures and edit photos:
