Hi Anita

There are two bits of jargon in the request you received.

First, the jargon is that a "hard" copy of a document means a document printed on paper. A "soft" copy of a document is a computer
file, rather than the print out of that computer file. So, the request for a soft document means "please email us a Word document"
rather than "please print out your document and put it in an envelope with a stamp on it".

Second, there are two ways to send text in an email. You can type away in the email itself, or you can attach a file to the email.
Your correspondent wants a file attached to the email.

If we assume that you have a Word document to send, then you can attach it to an email by using your email program. How you do this
depends on the email program you use.

If you use Microsoft Outlook, then start a new email message and choose Insert > File. If you use Outlook Express, start a new email
and choose Insert > File Attachment. Other email programs will have similar commands.

Hope this helps.
