I have been using Windows Mail for several months iwth no problems. Suddenly
yesterday, each time I try to send mail, it asks for my user name and
password for the accountl I type it in and try to send, but it pops back to
the sign in. I have checked the options section and verified the user name
and password. Nothing works and I cannot send mail!!! Help!

If you are sure you are you are entering the correct username and
password, one possible cause for that error is account corruption.
One thing you should try as a quick fix is to delete that corrupted
mail account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate that account.

If that doesn't fix it, more drastic measures will have to be taken.
Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

If turning off the email scanning function does not resolve your problem,
consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to
suffering bad effects from overly aggressive antivirus programs.

Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for reasons
explained here:

then maybe you aren't typing your username or password write or you probaly
forgot it . try starting over until it works or just ask someone that you
know that might be able to help you fix your username and password then.

What part did you not understand?
It looks like ordinary English to me. ;-)

I believe Gary V. gave her the best instructions by far. The original
poster might also make sure if she is connected to the correct wireless
network is she is on a wireless computer because sometimes other
wireless connections can be on different ISPs. For instance, I am on RR
and my neighbor in the apartment next door is on Verizon DSL with a
wireless router, so I have to make sure I am connected to MY wireless
router instead of theirs.

Hopefully both you and your neighbor are using WPA encryption,
in which case an inadvertent wireless connection is not possible.
