E-mail opens very slowly

Hello: I recently installed Messenger 6.2 for the kids to use. Immediately
after I noticed opening up my e-mail to a painfully long time.
I know it directly coincides with the messenger service but I dont know why.
Anybody have any ideas why its lagging like this?
I have messenger disabled from starting on boot up. It's turned off in
msconfig. I have no other programs running in the background.

Outlook Express attempts to load Messenger whenever it
starts, and takes a long time to give up should it not
succeed. Two simple registry changes fixes the problem,
or you can try the cure below ," Messenger still loads
with Outlook E.". Should you need further help, e-mail me
