e-mail/disc defrag

HELP,when checking e-mail in outlook express, I find that
the same messages are being sent even when I have deleted
them on my previous visit, what's going on?. Also when I
try to defrag I get a message saying "Disc defrag could
not start",anyone got any ideas , be gentle I'm a novice

In Outlook Express, click Tools\Accounts. On the Mail tab, select the email
account with which you are having problems (you probably have only one) and
then click the Properties button. On the Advanced tab, uncheck the box that
says "Leave a copy of message on server" (if it's not checked then you have
a different problem; please write back).
Also when I
try to defrag I get a message saying "Disc defrag could
not start",anyone got any ideas , be gentle I'm a novice

You must be logged in as an administrator to run Disk Defragmenter. Are
you?
