E-Mail Address in Contacts

We have an Exchange 2000 server and run Outlook 2000 on the client side. We
hav a user who would like to be able to type in the e-mail address of a new
contact and not have it be resolved with entries in the Global Address List.
After he types in the e-mail address, it underlines, like it does the "check
name" function. Is this possible and if so, how do you do it? I've tried
turning off the "check names" function and it still does it.

Thanks.

Outlook must resolve an address before it can send a message. With what
service does he want it resolved?

The problem is this: He has a Blackberry. When the Blackberry syncs with
the Contacts folder, the contacts that have addresses that resolve with the
GAL sync to his Blackberry with the EX address instead of the SMTP address
and therefore, are useless in his Blackberry. I understand this is and
Outlook problem, not a Blackberry problem. How is he able to just type in
the SMTP address without it being resolved to the GAL?

Thanks for any assistance.

I'm afraid I have no experience with Blackberries (other than to put them on
vanilla ice cream or in pies), so I can't advise you. Perhaps someone else
will.
