DVI Connection Problem

I have a TFT DVI-D Monitor with a DVI-I Graphics Card.
DVI will only function in Windows XP Safe Mode But only in analogue in
Normal XP Mode.
Any possible solutions please?

It might not hurt to mention the video card?

If it's an ATI card, I vaguely recall that brand had a lot
of problems with DVI and some monitors, you might try a
different driver or a non-ATI card.
