DVDRom not reconizing DVD-R in windows explorer

I have a Toshiba Satilite 1805-S154 with a Toshiba DVD Rom SD-C250, and
I have an external DVD burner. When I create movie or what not using
DVD-R media, windows explorer does not reconize the data on the disk
when in the Toshiba DVD rom but it does using the external dvdrom. I
have looked high and low for a possbile firm update but cannot locate
one. Does anyone know who to get my sysytem to start reconizing the
DVD-R media?

had the same problem...only solution format and reinstall windows...because
of konflict of 2 programs...

Do you remember what the the 2 programs were? to reinstall windows is
not very good option for me right now. Does anyone else have any
suggestions?
