i put a new hard drive in computer...installed xp......go
to play a dvd and it say i need a decoder......i found
them on line for a price.......is there another way around
this......please help..............

yes, u must have a decoder either a hardware or software
one. software are the most common, WinDVD and PowerDVD
are the best.

Try win dvd, or go to the manfacture of your dvd. Some
dvd's have a decoder on them. Try shrek.. good luck
