DVD RW drive not reading disc

My DVD RW drive is not reading any game software i put in that has
requirements of Windows 2000 and less. Also it's not reading any music cds
i'm put in either. What can i do to install these things

Copy the below information to Notepad:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoDriveTypeAutoRun"=dword:00000095

*******************************************

Save the file as Autoplay.reg

Go to where you saved the file. Double click to run the file. Accept the
addition to the registry.

Reboot. Put in the Audio CD or Movie DVD and watch it start correctly.
