DVD player and Win2000

I installed Win2000 on a HP Pavilion xt936 that had
Windows ME on it. Now my DVD player wont read/play DVD's.
What s/w,h/w or drivers do I need?

Check for a BIOS update for the motherboard first of all. What errors are
you getting in device manager on the DVD?
