DVD not spinning up in XP

I cannot get the DVD to spin up on my pc. Its a pioneer 110D. I'm trying to get Flight simulator to load.
There is a Cd as well and that works. I've downloaded an updated driver and both drives are set to cable select.
any suggestions?

Try a other a dvd in to too see it works ok.

Could be your dvd game is not working.

Try cleaning the disc or the drive.
