How did you burn the DVD? It's not possible from WMM directly. You must have
used some other software. Roxio etc etc? Also, which type of DVD?
DVD -R, -RW, +R, +RW etc. Dual-Layer?

DVD -R or +R are probably the most stable on stand-alone DVD players, but
there is no easy standard yet...

Which player works and which doesn't? (Brand/Model)

I used "Click to DVD"

The home player is a "Daewood dvd p480" not sure about the friends player.

You asked " what software did you use"? My answer was "Click to DVD" in
QUOTES.. that means "Click to DVD" is a proper name, thus it is the name of
the software--

on windows media center pc's there IS a burn to DVD option !!!

the real answer is not all DVD players will play all homemade DVD's
I have 3 or 4 DVD players at home and some will play DVD-R some DVD+R, one
won't play any homemade DVD. Ironically the $39.00 dvd player From WallMart
will play everything. if your player is older it is very possible it will
have trouble with some disks. you could try using a different disk type
(+R, -R, RW, etc...)

| There is no WMM Click to DVD option.

ummm Mac there is a version of WMM that has a "Save to DVD" option. IE:
MCE2005 on Windows Media Edition PC's.
Plus "Click to DVD" is a DVD Authoring program, although not a very good
one, that comes proprietary with Sony computers.
Orcas: The fact is that some DVD Players have issues with either DVD+R or
especially DVD-R disks.
Sometimes a DVD Player will only work with one or the other. I suggest, if
your burner can work with both, that you try +R instead of -R or vice versa.
Also in some cases it is the DVD brand that is an issue.
