DVD Burning Problem

I have created movies from my digital camera through Windows Movie Maker, and
turned into a movie.

I am trying to Burn it to DVD. I have tried to use Sonic MyDVD and Nero, but
neither will work. Do I need to change the file extension name to use either
of these programmes.

Thanks in advance...

If you have Nero...maybe you have...
NeroVision Express...try using it.

What is your file extension? If it is
..mswmm that is your project file
and you need to save as a .wmv
movie file by going to...File / Save
Movie File or typing...Ctrl+P.

Also you could try saving as an .avi
file by using the following steps.

Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

Hi John,

I've saved it as a .wmv file AND IT WORKS! And, I LOVE your work!

Thanks so much for your help!

You imported the .wmv file directly into your dvd burning software?

Depends on the software. Most authoring programs now either accept WMV files
or have a downloadable plug-in that will allow them to accept WMV's

Hi David,

Sorry for the delay,

Yes, I imported it into Nero Vision, and burned it OK. I did a second copy
(to see if it worked), and saved it as a DV-AVI file as per John's
instructons.

Both worked!
