Duplicate Personal folders

I reinstalled Outlook 2003. After importing a personal folder file, I have
two exact personal folders shown on the Mail tab. I check the "C:\Documents
and Settings\...\Outlook" folder and there is only one pst file. I try to
delete one of them by right click the personal folders but the Close
"Personal Folders" is grayed out.

I remember reading a post in this newsgroup long time ago about delete a
"stubborn" duplicate personal folder but I cannot find the post now. I
remember it suggested going into the registry and delete some registry keys.
Can someone tell me which keys are they? Or is there any other way to delete
this "stubborn" personal folder besides going into the registry?

I've been through this and its a mess.

Most of the work is done in the Control Panel - Mail - Data File window.
You may be able to delete the offending file from there.
Otherwise, you need to create a new profile, move the primary mail profile
to the new one and delete the old one.

You may have to go to Tools - email accounts to switch delivery locations.

I checked the "profile" entries in the registry and deleted one of the keys
that store information about pst file. Now the duplicate is gone. Thank you
anyway.
