Duplicate Name Error Message

Open CMD prompt and type nbtstat -c
Check and see which name you may be conflicting with. You
also may want to check the WINS server for static and old
entries.

Thanks for the reply. I checked this. It returned with
the correct network connection info and stated that there
was "No name in cache". This adds to confusion if the
network is saying there is a duplicate to no name. I also
ran ipconfig and received similar results that gave all
the correct info for the ip address, gateway, server, etc.

I meant nbtstat -n and see which status has conflict. If
you have two cards in the system the conflict can happen
also. Probably an onboard and pcmcia card.
