Duplicate Birthday reminders in Calendar

I keep getting duplicate birthday reminders on the
calendar in Outlook. So I will have many reminders on the
same day for the same person. Also, birthday reminders
become attachements within a contact too. I think it has
something to do with the way activesync works - anyone
else have this problem? Or know how I can fix it???

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.
