Duel Boot IDE/SATA XP and 98 Question

Hi there,

I'm hoping one of you guys may be able to give me some advice. I need to
build a dual boot system for a friend (Win XP and 98) - I wanted to use SATA
drives for the system, I know XP is OK with SATA but is 98?

Secondly, is there a way to put in both a SATA drive and an IDE drive into
the machine and have 98 boot from the IDE and XP from the SATA?

Any help to clear up the confusion I've got myself into by try to research
on the net would really be appreciated.

Cheers

I did the XP/98 dual boot with a P4c800E. There were software/driver
probs with plain 'ol 98. Had to go to 98SE which for reasons not
understood by me solved the problems....???? Works real well now.. Be
sure to install 98 first....It has something to do with the XP boot
menu....???
