Dual NICs

One machine, 2 NICs. Each on it's own subnet with it's own DHCP server. I run
PathPing and it always seems to use the same NIC. How can I tell the PC which
NIC to use as the default?
Thanks in advance.

When multiple NICs can access the same IP address, the system uses the
one with the lower metric value for its associated network connection.

To assign a metric to a network connection:

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Right click the desired connection.
3. Click Properties | Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
4. Click Properties | Advanced.
5. Un-check "Automatic metric".
6. Enter a number between 1 and 9999 for the "Interface metric".

I had learned that in my Network+ class but had since forgotten.
Thank you very much.

You have to tell the routing table which NIC is the gateway for which network.

At present it is aware of only one gatway.
