Dual instalations

When I installed my old copy of XP Pro on my new machine
I went through the revalidation procedure (via phone) to
maintain the registration. I currently have the XP Pro
on both my C: and E: drives. It asks at bootup which
drive I want to boot from. Will uninstalling XP from my
C: drive make it just boot from E:? Would that keep my
legal? Should I change drive letters? I want to use the
current C: as a second non-bootbale drive. Thanks!

Paul, you can delete everything from the C: drive except five files.
Boot.ini, Bootsect.dos, cmldr, ntldr and Ntdetect.com.
You can see these files by getting to Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder
Options>View. click on "Show hidden files and
folders" and uncheck " Hide protected operating system files". To
remove the boot menu on startup you have to
open Boot.ini and delete the first line with WinXP Pro or you can
just change the timeout value from 30 to 1.
