dual booting win xp and win 2000

Can you install windows 2000 over windows xp to dual boot
if windows xp is already installed? Or Does it have to
be a clean install where you have to reinstall win xp on
top of win 2000?

For Win9x/Me: Install 98/Me after XP is Installed.
For Windows 2000: Install Windows 2000 after XP is installed.

You need 2 partitions on your harddrive to do this.
This has to be done with a partition manager,first ,and
after you have 2 patitions you can install the (dualboot)
other for example, win2000,on the new partition.
