dual boot

Hi, I have vista home premium and am dual booting with XP for those programs
that dont work with vista. My niece wants XP but cant afford it so I said
she can have mine and I will put windows 2000 on mine instead of XP. Can I
uninstall XP and put 2000 on and still be able to boot into vista or will I
have to also reinstall vista.

Are you sure that her computer will run XP?
What is her computer running now?

Do you have XP on a separate drive?

This is for installing XP after Vista.
